Sunday, the 26th of June, my husband and I were out with our ’73 Super Beetle when my husband shifted, it decided it wasn’t going to go, and we were stuck in the middle of a busy intersection. My husband, who is 78 years young, said, “Now what?” He would have to push it out of the way to the closest driveway.
Then we heard a voice, “Can we help you?” A wonderful couple and their beautiful puppies went out of their way to help us, perfect strangers.
The gentleman and his wife helped push the car to a close driveway, called the police, and stayed with us until they came. I told them our name, but I was so upset that I didn’t ask them theirs.
The police were very helpful as well – they called a truck for us, and even gave us a ride home.
Thank you so much to that wonderful couple and the Biddeford Police Department.
