L.L. Bean in Freeport is offering a series of free outdoor concerts, as well as other family-friendly festivals and events, all summer long. Events this season include:

July 2: the 195th Army Band

Comprised of members of the Maine Army National Guard, the 195th Army Band will play throughout the day at L.L. Bean. The Rock Band will perform at noon, the Brass Quintet at 2 p.m., the Ceremonial Band at 3 p.m., the Rock Band again at 4 p.m. and the full band will perform at 7 p.m.

July 3: Thirdstory

At 7:30 p.m., the New York-based trio Thirdstory will perform their signature R&B and soul music.

July 4: Road Race and Fun Run

The 10K road race begins at 7:25 a.m. And the 1-mile Fun Run/Walk begins at 9:10 a.m. At Memorial Park in Freeport. All proceeds support the YMCA of Southern Maine Casco Bay Branch.

July 4: Independence Day Celebration

A parade down Main Street and an outdoor concert with David Mallett & The Mallet Brothers Band followed by a fireworks display starting at 9 p.m.

July 9: L.L. Bean Open House and DIY Workshops

This outdoor living event features advice from expert stylists, refreshments and free workshops.

July 23: Frankie Ballard

At 7:30 p.m., Frankie Ballard, who has opened for Kenny Chesney and Lady Antebellum, performs songs from his album “Sunshine & Whiskey.”

July 30: Grace Potter

With her signature mix of pure pop with roots in folk and rock, Grace Potter takes the stage at 7:30 p.m.

Aug. 6: Lyle Lovett and His Large Band

Lyle Lovett and His Large Band performs in a style that mixes country, folk, gospel and big-band swing at 7:30 p.m.

Aug. 13: The Lone Bellow with special guest Brynn Elliot

The trio, out of Brooklyn, will put on an eclectic musical performance at 7:30 p.m.

Aug. 20: Kids’ Get Out + Play Day

From 10 a.m. To 4 p.m., L.L. Bean will provide a day of outdoor fun for children and their families.

Aug. 20: The Ballroom Thieves accompanied by Maine Youth Rock Orchestra

With a combination of folk music with rock and blues, the Ballroom Thieves perform with the Maine Youth Rock Orchestra to top of Kids’ Get Out + Play Day at 7:30 p.m.

Aug. 27: Paws for a Cause with the Coastal Humane Society

Join L.L. Bean in supporting shelter pets and programs. The day will feature a 5K walk, canine contests, dog demos, live music, food trucks and more. The events take place from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Sept. 3: Ben Rector

The Nashville-based singer-songwriter will perform a free concert at 7:30 p.m.
