237294 Bob CurrieBob Currie was hired as director of transportation for York County Community Action Corporation. Connie Garber, the program’s director for the past 37 years, retired at the end of May.
Currie previously worked as project manager for the Capitol Region Education Council in Connecticut. He brings several years of management experience.

 

237294 Sourbeer_Kraig (2)Kraig Sourbeer joined Carrabassett Valley Academy as its new alpine program director. He will be responsible for the staffing, programming, implementation and supervision of the academy and its weekend alpine programs.
Sourbeer brings extensive experience to the CVA. He spent the past six years coaching under 16 and 19 boys at Burke Mountain Academy.

 

237294 John MoranJohn Moran was hired as the new principal of Cheverus High School.
Moran will succeed longtime principal John H.R. Mullen, who retired after 37 years at Cheverus. Moran will begin his tenure on July 1. He has served as the principal of St. Louis University High School since 2008.

237294 David WalkerDavid Walker, a licensed professional geologist, joined R. W. Gillespie & Associates, Inc.
Walker will conduct environmental site assessments, groundwater assessment and remediation and aquifer testing. He will also assist the geotechnical group in explorations, sampling, geophysical testing and seismic studies.

 

Maine Audubon announced that it was hiring Jeremy Cluchey as director of communications and marketing.
Cluchey brings more than a decade of strategic communications and management experience spanning the public, private, and nonprofit sectors. He previously served as director of creative design at Bates College.

Kossi Gamedah joined Goodwill Industries of Northern New England as senior vice president of retail.
Most recently, Gamedah was the regional director for Dollar General for West Tennessee, where he was responsible for retail operations.

237294 Bryan MatlukThe Ecology School in Saco has hired Bryan Matluk as development director.
Matluk previously worked at York County Community College in the same capacity. He is founder and owner of Exchange Street Studio in Portland.

 

Mid-Maine Chamber of Commerce has hired Brittnae DeRoche to help grow its regional marketing efforts.
DeRoche will focus on updating social media pages, all chamber websites and help member businesses network through chamber events and activities.

237294 Stephen D. Krasinski, Ph.D.The MDI Biological Laboratory has named Stephen Krasinski as vice president for administration.
Krasinski succeeds Patricia Hand, who retired last month after 15 years. He comes to the MDI Biological Laboratory from Boston Children’s Hospital, an affiliate of Harvard Medical School. He was a principal investigator at the children’s hospital.
