The Portland Police Department has announced that the search for Matthew Foster, a 23-year-old from Scarborough, who has been missing since last week, has been suspended. Foster’s last known whereabouts were on the waterfront in Portland, near the area of Chandlers Wharf. Divers with various public safety agencies have searched unsuccessfully for Foster’s body for several days. In the press release, the Portland police said that if any new information is developed indicating a specific location for Foster’s body, divers will resume their search.
