Falmouth residents overwhelmingly approved a proposed $10.5 million road construction project for Route 100 in elections Tuesday.
Voters approved the project 1,295 to 420.
The project will pave, widen and update about 2 miles of a busy, mixed-use area along Route 100 on the west side of town.
Voters also elected Andrea Noyes Ferrante and Aaron Svedlow and re-elected Claudia King to the Falmouth Town Council. Caryn Bickerstaff and Jennifer Libby were elected to the Falmouth School Board and William Lunt was elected as a Portland Water District Trustee. All candidates were unopposed.
Residents also approved the $34.9 million budget for Falmouth schools by a wide margin, 1,301 to 395. The budget is approximately $1.7 million more than this year’s spending plan.
