The following events are scheduled at The Chocolate Church Arts Center over the course of the next week.
The DuPont Brothers and Schooner Fare
At The Chocolate Church Arts Center on Friday, The DuPont Brothers will perform an intimate concert in the Curtis Room at 7:30 p.m. The following day, Saturday, Chuck and Steve Romanoff will perform on the main stage at 7: 30 p. m. as Schooner Fare.
Auditions for “The Pirates of Penzance”
The Chocolate Church Arts Center will hold auditions for Gilbert and Sullivan’s “The Pirates of Penzance” June 5 from 1-3 p.m. and June 6 from 6- 8 p. m. The cast will involve 35 actors: 15-20 adults and 10- 12 children ages 6-16 to play a variety of pirates and characters. This is an all-family audition and show. Actors should be prepared to dance, sing a song of choice ( a capella), read from a script and improvise.
Sojourn on June 9On June 9, Sojourn will perform at the Chocolate Church during a show that begins at 7:30 p.m. Musicians Chris Doehne (lead guitar) of Yarmouth, Jerry Perron (acoustic guitar) of Brunswick, Parker Kenyon (bass and flute) of Harpswell, Lee Robinson ( drums) of Warren, and Mark McNeil (keyboards) of West Bath comprise the cover band, which expresses universal themes of love, compassion and peace.
Tickets are $ 10 in advance and $14 at the door for The Dupont Brothers event. Tickets are $ 22 advance and $25 at the door for Schooner Fare. Tickets for Sojour are $10 advance and $14 door.
