I’ve voted absentee for Jill Duson for Maine Senate in District 28.
Before meeting Jill, I knew her only as a policymaker, city councilor and former mayor of Portland. I admired her commitment to not only saying the right things, but doing things the right way.
This is the kind of leader we need in the Maine Senate: one who does her due diligence and gathers all the facts before making a decision.
When I met Jill, I came to know her as a wonderful woman of color and a friend. She is a person of great empathy, great wisdom and commitment. She approaches things with both sensitivity and strength and has dedicated her life to public service and helping others.
When you vote for Jill Duson for Maine Senate in the June 14 Democratic primary, you are not only voting for a wonderful leader, but also a wonderful human being.
