I’m writing to support Justin Chenette of Saco for Maine Senate in the June 14 Democratic primary.

Last June, I co-organized a rally at the State House urging the Legislature to investigate Gov. LePage’s efforts to sabotage Mark Eves’ hiring by Good Will-Hinckley. In January we held another rally advocating for impeachment.

I’d never done anything like that before. However, I couldn’t sit back while Gov. LePage attempted to destroy the fabric of government in the state I love so much.

As a state representative, Justin Chenette has demonstrated courage in the face of our bullying governor. He spoke out for impeachment during the House debate. He voted to move forward on the motion to impeach and worked on his own bill for a recall provision.

This demonstrated concern for the people of Maine and the proper functioning of our government is exactly what we need in the Maine Senate.
