I had recent occasion to fly American Airlines and was appalled at the extent of the inequalities and attempts to squeeze additional money from every traveler.
In addition to the three or four “priority” boarding advantages, this airline now tries to find various ways to charge for an aisle or window seat. This, in spite of the profits from reduced fuel prices that have not been passed on in fare reductions.
I urge normal, middle-class passengers to choose airlines that do not practice this kind of childish behavior. We can make them change.
