
The son of Paul and Simone (Chase) Bouchard, he was born in Madawaska on March 23, 1927. He attended schools in Madawaska, and after graduation, moved to Biddeford in 1943. He served his country in the United States Army during World War II.
He resided in Lowell, Massachusetts, for 35 years, where he worked as a machinist and for the Lowell Housing Authority as a maintenance mechanic. In 1990, he moved to Sanford and was a member of Holy Family Church. He worked at Saco Lowell Shops for 10 years, retiring in 1989.
After he retired, Norman and his wife, Blanche (Nadeau) Bouchard, enjoyed going to St. Petersburg, Florida, for 16 winters.
He was preceded in death by: his wife, Blanche; his brother, Clarence; his sister, Rena Gilbert; and a very special friend, Adele Letellier.
He is survived by: four sons, Ronald and his wife Linda of Oklahoma, Richard and his wife Joan of New Hampshire, Donald and his wife Dorothy of Old Orchard Beach, and Shawn of New Hampshire; one daughter, Claudette Paradis and her husband Larry of Florida; one brother, Elden; two sisters, Anita Nadeau and Viola Grande Maison; 10 grandchildren; and two greatgrandchildren.
Family and friends are invited to attend a time of visitation from 4-7 p.m. Wednesday, May 11, at Cote Funeral Home, 87 James St., Saco. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 1 p.m. Thursday, May 12, at Most Holy Trinity, Saco. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery in Biddeford.
