La Bella Figura, an exhibit of photographs by Judith and Burke Long previously at Points of View Gallery in Brunswick, travels to Miles Memorial Hospital in Damariscotta, where it opens Saturday. The show runs through June 15.

“Our work is both individual and collaborative,” said Burke Long, “which is why we felt immediately drawn to the Miles Memorial Hospital Art Committee’s call for work by collaborating artists.”

A photographer and printmaker, Judith Long is a founding member of Points of View Artists, and a member of Circling the Square Fine Arts Press in Gardiner. She regularly presents her works in Maine, including the Maine Photography Show in Boothbay Harbor. This year, her prints are included in A Sense of Place, an international collaborative exhibition organized by Circling the Square Fine Art Press and Estampería Quiteño, Ecuador’s premier printmakers’ collective.

Burke Long has studied photography with Thurston Howes and Liz Bieber at the Maine College of Art. He has exhibited his photographs in the Maine Photography Show, Gallery Framing, Maine College of Art, Harlow Gallery, Topsham Public Library and the Holocaust and Human Rights Center in Augusta. He and his work were featured in the October 2014 issue of Bowdoin Magazine.
