LIBERTY GRAPHICS T-SHIRTS has announced the winner of its 19th annual “Art and Our Natural Environment” contest for Maine high school seniors. Lily Johnston’s monochromatic blue acrylic painting titled “Alpine Zone” earned the $1,000 prize. Johnston will be attending Bowdoin College in the fall. While not majoring in art, her intent is to continue her practice of creating images. Johnston plays lacrosse, runs on the cross-country team, enjoys Nordic skiing, hiking and canoeing and has volunteered at the annual MOFGA Common Ground Fair.
