WESTBROOK — Dom Bernard singled, stole second and scored on Jacob Latini’s single to break a fifth-inning tie Tuesday, and Deering went on to a 3-2 victory against Westbrook in an SMAA baseball game.
James Sinclair grabbed the win, allowing two runs on four hits over five innings for Deering (4-1). Colby Dame got the save, pitching two perfect innings, striking out the final four batters.
Bailey Ryan of Westbrook struck out seven and walked three.
David Hendrickson had a pair of singles for the Blue Blazes (1-3).
GORHAM 5, BONNY EAGLE 1: Sam Kilborn finished with nine strikeouts and two walks in a one-hitter to lift the Rams (2-2) over the Scots (3-3) at Gorham.
Cam Smith hit an RBI double during a two-run third inning for Gorham and Ben Nelson added a two-run single in the sixth.
WELLS 3, LAKE REGION 2: Nick Cousins pitched a complete game and went 2 for 3 to lead the Warriors (3-2) over the Lakers (0-5) at Wells.
Cousins allowed four hits and a walk, striking out six, and also scored the go-ahead run in the sixth inning on a throwing error after stealing third base. Liam Bell added two hits for the Warriors.
YORK 2, GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER 0: Jack MacDonald and Trevor LaBonte hit RBI singles in the second inning and the Wildcats (5-1) held off the Patriots (2-4) at York.
Trevor LaBonte and Forrest Kelley combined on a six-hitter for the Wildcats, with LaBonte pitching the first four innings.
FALMOUTH 16, FRYEBURG ACADEMY 0: Max Fortier threw a no-hitter, striking out six and hitting a pair of batters for the Yachtsmen (5-0), who scored nine runs in the first inning and beat the Raiders (0-6) in five innings at Fryeburg.
Hogan Tracy, who hit a two-run double for Falmouth in the first, finished 3 for 4 with a pair of doubles and six RBI, and Robbie Armitage added three hits, including two doubles.
PORTLAND 3, WINDHAM 2: Tom Joyce hit a pinch-hit RBI single that scored Joe Fusco in the sixth inning, giving the Bulldogs (5-0) a 3-1 lead against the Eagles (3-4) at Windham.
Dan Marzilli struck out three and walked three in a two-hitter to earn the win.
CHEVERUS 3, MARSHWOOD 0: Jack Casale had seven strikeouts and no walks in a two-hitter to lift the Stags (3-1) over the Hawks (2-4) at Portland.
Chris Vallee hit an RBI single during a three-run fourth inning and Griffin Watson finished with two hits for Cheverus.
SACOPEE VALLEY 16, POLAND 6: D.J. Shea went 3 for 4 with five RBI and scored three runs to lead the Hawks (6-0) over the Knights (1-4) in five innings at Poland.
Leading 9-1 after three innings, Sacopee Valley scored seven runs in the fourth.
YARMOUTH 4, GREELY 4: Ryan Twitchell made a strong start for the Rangers (3-0-1) and Luke Klenda pitched 42/3 scoreless innings of relief for the Clippers (4-0-1) in a game called after nine innings due to darkness at Cumberland.
Twitchell allowed four runs on three hits and two walks, striking out eight in seven innings. Klenda relieved in the fifth and struck out seven.
MASSABESIC 1, SANFORD 0: Weston Bergeron pitched a four-hitter with eight strikeouts and three walks as the Mustangs (2-3) beat the Spartans (0-5) at Sanford.
The run came when Dawson Renaud led off the fourth inning with a double and scored on a two-out single by Derek Coulombe.
BIDDEFORD 4, NOBLE 0: The Tigers (1-4) scored their runs in the first inning and defeated the Knights (0-6) at North Berwick.
The runs came on a fielder’s choice, RBI walk, RBI hit by pitch, and a sacrifice fly.
FREEPORT 6, KENNEBUNK 4: Joey Burke hit a two-run double as part of a five-run sixth inning to lead the Falcons (3-3) over the Rams (2-4) at Kennebunk.
Burke and Caleb Rice each had two hits, including a double, and Jack Davenport allowed no earned runs on four hits, striking out seven in 62/3 innings for Freeport.

GORHAM 20, MARSHWOOD 0: Alex York had five goals and five assists to lead the Rams (5-0) over the Hawks (0-4) at South Berwick.
Jake Dequis added three goals and an assist for Gorham, which led 14-0 at halftime, and Carter Landry made five saves for the shutout.
WAYNFLETE 14, FRYEBURG ACADEMY 8: Hank Duvall scored four goals, and Will Nelligan and Miles Lipton each added three to lead the Flyers (2-2) over the Raiders (2-2) at Fryeburg.
Nelligan had four assists, and Duvall and Willy Burdick each added two. Burdick also scored two goals. Will Armstong had 12 saves.
WINDHAM 14, BONNY EAGLE 4: Zack Hough scored six goals as the Eagles (4-0) defeated the Scots (2-2) at Standish.
Zack Callahan added four goals and two assists, and Jacob Dionne finished with 13 saves for Windham.
YARMOUTH 16, GREELY 10: Bill Jacobs scored six goals as the Clippers (2-2) defeated the Rangers (1-1) at Cumberland.
Matthew Beatty added four goals and Silas Chappell had two for Yarmouth.
SCARBOROUGH 14, THORNTON ACADEMY 11: Sam Neugebauer had six goals to lead the Red Storm (4-2) over the Trojans (3-1) at Scarborough. Mark Gurette added four goals for Scarborough, which led 10-3 at halftime.
WELLS 17, FREEPORT 14: Ethan Marsh scored seven goals and Evan Whitten added five to lead the Warriors (3-0) past the Falcons (1-3) at Freeport.
