Regarding Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor’s call “for greater diversity on (the) high court” (April 11):

Perhaps President Obama should factor religion into his choice of nominees.

Currently, there are five Roman Catholics and three Jews. Nominee Merrick Garland is Jewish.

Perhaps a Protestant should be represented once again. It is one of the larger religious groups in the United States.
