I’m surprised that Paul LePage is unhappy with his salary. He should know that the lowest salary in the country is appropriate for a governor who’s a total obstructionist, regularly defies the will of the people, doesn’t seem to care about the pain he inflicts on the least fortunate among us and acts in a boorish and mean-spirited manner that’s inappropriate for the highest elected official in the state and is embarrassing for those of us who live here.
Hopefully, we Mainers won’t see the likes of Paul LePage again. We should make sure that we don’t. Future Maine governors will deserve a higher salary because we will elect only those who will observe the rule of law and look after the needs of all of our citizens.
