AUBURN
Fr. Leo Patalinghug, creator of “Grace Before Meals,” an international apostolate which helps strengthen families and relationships through God’s gift of a family meal, will serve as the keynote speaker at the Maine Catholic Women’s Conference scheduled for Saturday, April 9, at the Hilton Garden Inn Auburn Riverwatch in Auburn.
With a theme of “ Feed My Lambs”, the conference will feature a variety of programs, testimonies, workshops, music, and more.
The day will begin with a Mass celebrated by Bishop Robert P. Deeley at 9 a.m.
Born in the Philippines and raised in the Baltimore area, Fr. Patalinghug developed his love for cooking while attending North American College in Rome. He is the host of “Savoring our Faith” on EWTN and co-host of “Entertaining Truth” on Sirius XM Radio. His work has also been featured on ABC, CBS, NBC, PBS, and The Food Network, where he appeared on “Throw Down! with Bobby Flay.”
His message combines faithful Catholic theology presented in a way that is easy to understand and appreciate. Using his unique background as a chef, a third-degree black belt martial arts teacher, and a former award-winning choreographer for a dancing group, Fr. Patalinghug’s presentations have brought diverse audiences closer to the Lord’s Table.
The cost to attend the conference is $60 for adults, and $40 for students. The fee includes breakfast and lunch. Scholarships are available for participants. For more information about scholarship opportunities, call (207) 321-7898. The deadline to register is Monday, April 4.
