
She was born April 7, 1924, in Biddeford, a daughter of Alexandre and Marie Laure (Hemond) Borduas, and was educated locally at St. Joseph’s School and High School.
On July 14, 1945, she married Raoul G. Paquette at St. Joseph’s Church.
She had been employed at the Saco Tannery, the Pepperell Mill and Lunder Shoe, where she was a stitcher.
She was also employed at several local retail establishments such as Remar’s and Nichols, and in local restaurants.
Therese volunteered for the Notre Dame de Lourdes School lunch program and other church activities. She was a member of Notre Dame de Lourdes Parish and Good Shepherd Parish.
She enjoyed cooking, crocheting and needlework. Times spent with family at her Sokokis Lake cottage were special to her.
She was preceded in death by: her husband, Raoul Paquette, on July 18, 2014, and her brother, J. Paul Borduas, in 1995.
She is survived by: two sons, Normand Paquette and his wife Carmen of Waterboro, and Bernard Paquette and his wife Madeleine of Saco; one daughter, Gisele Paquette of Saco; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Rita Rouillard of Saco and Gilberte Borduas of Biddeford.
Visiting hours will be 4-7 p.m. Friday, April 1, at Hope Memorial Chapel, 480 Elm St,, Biddeford.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 2, at Most Holy Trinity Church, Parish of the Good Shepherd, 271 Main St., Saco.
Burial will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Biddeford.
