
She was born July 18, 1953, to Albert Henry and Florence Mina (Lyons) Howes in Rumford. She moved to Saco in 1962 and attended local schools. On Dec. 4, 1971, she married Ronald Boucher I at Most Holy Trinity in Saco.
Juanita worked at several nursing homes in the kitchen until she found her calling as a homemaker for her sons as well as all the foster children she helped. She had a deep love for her family, and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and various family outings. She loved animals, especially penguins and her toy Pomeranians.
She was an amazing seamstress and knitter; she made her children’s clothes and blankets. She was the life of any party. She also made wedding cakes and enjoyed camping.
She is preceded in death by: a brother, Richard Howes.
Juanita is survived by: Her loving husband of 44 years, Ronald Boucher I of Portland; two sons, Ronald Michael Boucher II of Saco and Randy Claude Boucher and his wife Stacy of Portland; two granddaughters, Jessica and Rachel; five great-grandchildren, Nevaeh, Aylah, Noah-Randy, Ayvah and Niklaus; two brothers, Roy and Albert Jr. Howes; three sisters, Mary Davis, Brenda Fisher and Laura Cyr; several nieces, nephews and godchildren; and around 150 foster children.
Visiting hours will be 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, March 29, at Hope Memorial Chapel, 480 Elm St., Biddeford. A funeral service will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 30, at Hope Memorial Chapel. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery in Biddeford.
