Professional henna artist Genevieve Levin will offer a demonstration and individual hand adornments for teen participants at Patten Free Library on Friday at 3:30 p.m. The workshop is free, open to teens in grade seven and up, and will be held in the Library’s Community Room. Pre-registration is required, as space is limited.
“This program will not only be informative, fun, and creative but will also give you the gift of a henna design to take home with you that will last one to three weeks,” said Levin, of ReMarkable Blackbird
Levin will discuss the origins of henna, provide safety and aftercare information, and describe what makes a beautiful design. Participants will leave with a small henna drawing applied to one hand. Light refreshments will be served.
To register for the program, call the library at (207) 443-5141, extension 12. For more information, contact Roberta Jordan at (207) 443-5141, extension 25, or by email, rjordan@patten.lib.me.us.
