The Centre St Arts Gallery is hosting a reception on Friday from 5-7 p.m. to celebrate a new exhibition by its 20 members and to welcome guest artist Jerri Whitman of Dresden, whose pastel paintings will be on exhibition through May 7.
“I paint Maine’s colorful peaceful places,” Whitman said. “My focus is the landscape and first impression of a scene becomes a lasting impression when I paints it. The beauty that surrounds us here is magical. Painting is my way to share what I notice about the world we live in.”
Music will be provided by Liz Lannon, a singer and musician from Phippsburg.
