Southern Maine Community College, headquartered in South Portland, and University College have signed a set of agreements that will ensure that graduates from select community college academic programs have a smooth transition to four-year degree programs at University College, which is part of the University of Maine System.
The goal is to help prepare these students for successful careers in high-demand industries. As of now, the agreements only cover the business administration and human services associate degree programs at Southern Maine Community College and will allow students to seamlessly transfer credits to University College’s business and mental health and human services baccalaureate degree programs.
