GREENE — Katreen Ann Ross, 62, of Greene, passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, March 10, 2016, surrounded by her loving family and friends.

She was born in Presque Isle on Sept. 17, 1953, the daughter of the late Hazen and Glenna (Fenlason) Lewin.

Katreen was a beloved mother, nana, mother-in-law, sister, aunt and friend. Her world revolved around her daughters and grandchildren, affectionately known by her as “her babies.”

Katreen’s loving ways and beautiful heart always made people feel the warmth and comfort she exuded just by being with her. She was known for being cheerful and optimistic, with a great sense of humor. Katreen always put others’ needs before hers, and continued to do so even during her illness.

In her spare time, she loved gardening, reading, crocheting, musicals, spending time with her family and friends, and caring for her much-loved dog, Meg.

She was preceded in death by: her parents.

She is survived by: her two loving daughters, Tricia and her husband Keith Forsman of Hampden, and Katie Kelley of Greene; her two sisters, Carol and her husband Robert Provoncha, and Carla and her husband Steven Jamison of Auburn; her six grandkids, Kaleb, Jacob, Christian, Nathan, Nicholas and Hannah; nieces and nephews; and many dear friends.

Visitation is 7-9 p.m. Friday, March 18, at The Fortin Group Funeral Home, Cremation and Monument Service, 70 Horton St., Lewiston. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 19, at the funeral home.
