Logan Gaddar of South Portland has been chosen for a year-end award from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute after helping the Engineers to a 9-2 overall record, a share of the Liberty League Championship and a victory in the ECAC Asa S. Bushnell Bowl Championship.
Rensselaer’s top wide receiver, Gaddar, who graduated from South Portland High School, was chosen as the co-offensive player of the year. He led the team with 54 catches for 772 yards and eight touchdowns. He had at least three receptions in 10 games and touchdown catches in five contests. He was first in the league in TD catches, second in receiving yards and receiving yards per game and third in receptions, receiving yards and receptions per game. He was All-League First Team for Rensselaer, based in Troy, N.Y.
