Representatives of more than two dozen teams descended on Bates College in Lewiston on Saturday, Feb. 13, to compete in the Class B Indoor Track State Championships. Among them were athletes from both Gray-New Gloucester and Lake Region. The Lady Patriots had the best day, finishing eighth as a squad. Their Gentlemen counterparts finished 22nd. The Laker boys were 15th overall and the girls 24th. York took first on the boys’ side of the action, Orono on the girls’.
Laker Danica Chadwick took fifth in the 55 Hurdles.
Laker Catherine Christiansen finished the 400 in 1:06.97.
G-NGer Jaley Martin finished ninth in the 400.
G-NG’s Clara Phillips earned third in the Shot Put; teammates Tram Ho and Emma MacCallum were right behind her, in fourth and fifth, respectively.
Patriot Erica Schlichting finished eighth in the 800.
Laker Dakota Stover took third in the Long Jump, at 20-02.50.
