Gov. Paul LePage will present his vision for moving Maine forward at a town hall meeting in Freeport next week.

In a press release issued Thursday, the Republican governor said he will talk about issues that are important to him and answer questions from the audience at the Freeport Public Library on Tuesday.

At previous town hall meetings, LePage has talked about further reducing the income tax, reforming welfare, cutting energy costs, and alleviating Maine’s high student debt burden.

The Freeport forum is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. and last about an hour, and is open to the public.

Since September, the governor has held town halls in Farmington, Bar Harbor, Lewiston, Auburn, Rockland, Portland, Waterville, Bridgton, Windham and Farmingdale. In late January, LePage held a televised town hall from Husson University in Bangor.
