Come learn about Freemasonry at the Governor William King Lodge’s Open House, held 7-8 p.m. Monday, Feb. 22, at the headquarters located at 649 U.S. Route 1 in Scarborough.

The lodge has one of the youngest memberships in the state, and is named after Scarborough resident and the first Governor of Maine, William King.

Attendees will learn about Freemasonry’s hundreds of years of history. They will get a tour of the hall and see some of the symbols that have many meanings to a Freemason. They will also hear about the various aspects of Masonry that its members find to be important to them, learn about the application process, and see some of the programs created by the Masons in Scarborough to benefit the community. There is no obligation to join.
