BALTIMORE — Bella Swan scored 21 points to lift the University of Maine women’s basketball team to a 72-38 win over the University of Maryland-Baltimore County in an America East game Saturday.
Sigi Koizar added 11 points, seven rebounds and six assists for Maine (18-7, 9-1). Liz Wood added 10.
After building a 31-18 halftime lead, Maine outscored UMBC (13-10, 4-6) 17-6 in the third quarter to put the game out of reach.
UNIVERSITY OF NEW ENGLAND 64, CURRY 47: Alicia Brown scored 11 of her game-high 22 points in the second half as the Nor’easters (18-3, 14-0) pulled away for a Commonwealth Coast Conference win over the Colonels (9-12, 6-8) at Milton, Massachusetts.
Alanna Vose and Meghan Gribbin added 12 points apiece, and Vose also had eight rebounds and five steals for UNE.
ST. JOSEPH’S 93, MOUNT IDA 63: Morgan Cahill scored 16 points to lead the Monks (17-4, 7-0) to a Great Northeast Athletic Conference win over the Mustangs (5-16, 3-6) at Standish.
Emily Quirion added 11 points and Emily Kehoe chipped in 10 for the Monks.
KEENE STATE 60, SOUTHERN MAINE 53: Stephanie D’Annolfo scored 14 points to lead the Owls (18-3, 7-3) over the Huskies (12-9, 6-4) in a Little East game at Keene, New Hampshire.
Ella Ramonas had 18 points and nine rebounds for the Huskies. Megan Pelletier added 12.
SOUTHERN MAINE CC 74, UM-MACHIAS 44: Jordan Turner scored 13 points, and Alicia Hoyt scored 11 points and grabbed 10 rebounds for the Seawolves (19-7, 8-4) in a Yankee Small College Conference win over the Clippers (5-15, 4-9) at Machias.
Maria Veino added 12 points.
COLBY 63, HAMILTON 51: Carylanne Wolfington scored 15 points and Haley Driscoll added 13, and the Mules (13-9, 5-3) beat the Continentals (7-15, 1-7) in a NESCAC game at Waterville.
Desi Smith added 11 points.
BOWDOIN 63, MIDDLEBURY 46: Kate Kerrigan and Marle Curle each scored 12 points to lead the Polar Bears (17-5, 6-2) to a NESCAC win over the Panthers (11-10, 3-5) at Brunswick.
Lauren Petit added 11 points for Bowdoin.
BATES 77, TRINITY 61: Nina Davenport and Chelsea Nason scored 22 points apiece, and Davenport added 15 rebounds to lead the Bobcats (7-13, 3-6) to a NESCAC win over the Bantams (10-9, 0-8) at Hartford.
The Bobcats clinched the No. 1 seed in the conference tournament.
WOMEN’S HOCKEY
MAINE 4, MERRIMACK 0: Jessica Vallotton scored three goals, and Brooke Stacey had a goal and an assist to lead the Black Bears (9-19-2, 5-15-1) to a Hockey East win over the Warriors (4-24-1, 2-16-1) at Orono.
Maine goalie Meghann Treacy made 19 saves to record the shutout.
ST. ANSELM 4, UNIVERSITY OF NEW ENGLAND 0: Alex Starzyk had two goals and an assist for the Hawks (17-4, 11-2) as they scored three third- period goals to pull away from the Nor’easters (11-7-2, 6-6-1) in a New England Hockey Conference game at Biddeford.
SOUTHERN MAINE 6, NICHOLS 0: Cassandra Sherman and Emilee Burris had two goals and an assist apiece as the Huskies (3-15-2, 2-9-2 New England Hockey Conference) beat the Bison (3-17, 1-11) in Gorham.
HAMILTON 4, BOWDOIN 1: Olivia Hawes scored a pair of goals as the Continentals (11-7-2, 5-5-2 NESCAC) beat the Polar Bears (8-9-2, 5-6-10) in Brunswick.

CONNECTICUT COLLEGE 2, COLBY 1: Bre Davis gave the Mules (5-13-3, 3-10-1) the lead with a short-handed goal early in the second period, but the Camels (12-7-1, 6-5-1) rallied for a NESCAC win at Waterville.
