Re: “Maine House votes against impeachment of Gov. LePage” (Jan. 15):
Hopefully, those individuals who lacked the backbone to do something about impeaching a governor who lacks common decency and who has made the state of Maine appear foolish will be ousted from their positions in the next elections.
Realizing that the governor thinks he won a majority in the last election and was the real choice in a field of three candidates leaves one to consider. He has polarized the state and displays tactics that are unacceptable and, more often than not, demeaning.
Many years ago there was a saying regarding elections, “As Maine goes, so goes the nation.” Let’s hope not!
