Crowder, formerly of Michigan, will work on social media campaigns and strategies for the firm’s clients. She lives in Gardiner.
Broadreach Public Relations has hired Jason Sulham as a senior strategist.
Prior to joining Broadreach, Sulham founded North Public Affairs and has directed projects for a diverse list of clients that include corporations and nonprofit organizations, as well as numerous federal, state and local electoral campaigns and issue advocacy initiatives. He lives in Cumberland.
Market Decisions Research in Portland has hired John Charles as a research assistant.
Charles will be aiding the senior research staff in getting scientific truths from raw data and drawing meaningful inferences about populations’ parameters. In 2014, he won the outstanding student in statistics award at the University of Southern Maine. Currently, he is enrolled in the master’s program in statistics at USM.
E.J. Fechenda joined the Portland Press Herald’s advertising team as lead generation, sales.
Fechenda brings several years of experience in media advertising and marketing both in digital and print. She was previously an advertising sales manager for the Verde Valley Newspapers in Arizona, marketing manager for Axon Design and Marketing in Portland, and held roles as a sales manager and audience data manager at HIMSS Media.
Kristina Williamson has joined the on-air lineup for Mainestream Media’s WHTP-Hot 104.7
Williamson be on air from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. She was previously at 103.3 Amp Radio in Boston. She also worked at Kiss 108 and Jam’n 94.5 in Boston as well as Fun 107 in New Bedford.
Ryan Deelon, program director for Hot 104.7, is now hosting the morning show where he’s joined by mid-day host Hayley Smith-Rose from 5 to 10 a.m.
Monica Sanders was hired as senior vice president, operations and planning of United Way of Greater Portland.
Sanders has held leadership positions at Siemens, 3M Health Information Systems, Health Dialog and Humana.
United Way of York County recently hired Fiona Robinson as manager of communications and donor development.
Robinson is responsible for overseeing all facets of United Way’s communications and marketing efforts, including print, digital, and social media. In addition, she will assist with enhancing current and building new donor relationships and connections. Most recently, she was the editor and associate publisher of SeaFood Business magazine for 17 years.
Krysta Lilly was hired as director of communications for The Maine Heritage Policy Center.
Lilly, of Arundel, previously worked with the National Rifle Association – Institute for Legislative Action. During her tenure, she fought for second amendment rights in over 25 states and was involved in the passage of Constitutional Carry in Maine and the defeat of the bear hunting referendum in 2015.
The Bowdoin International Music Festival has hired Casey Oakes as public relations and marketing coordinator.
Oakes brings a background in theater work, having previously worked at Cape May Stage in Cape May, New Jersey, and Gloucester Stage in Gloucester, Massachusetts.
PROMOTIONS
Market Decisions Research in Portland has promoted Mark Noyes to full-time research analyst.
Noyes joined the firm as a part-time employee in 2013. He taught the use of the research software, SPSS, at the University of Southern Maine.
Sea Bags promoted Laura Hnatow to vice president of marketing and e-commerce.
Hnatow joined Sea Bags in 2013. She previously worked in similar leadership roles at Cuddledown and L.L.Bean.
