WATERBORO — Jarod Norcross-Plourde scored 25 points and Samatar Iman added 22 to lift Edward Little to a 72-65 win over previously undefeated Massabesic in a Class AA boys’ basketball game Friday night.
Iman had 17 points in the second half, and Edward Little (5-5) made six straight free throws down the stretch to hold on for the win.
Tyus Sprague-Ripley had 33 points and 15 rebounds for Massabesic (8-1), which led 49-47 going into the fourth quarter.
Ryan Gullikson added 15 points for the Mustangs.
CHEVERUS 57, BONNY EAGLE 45: Jesse Matthews scored 15 points and Jack Casale added 13 to lead the Stags (5-5) over the Mustangs (1-9) in Standish.
Troy Bogdahn scored 34 points for Bonny Eagle, knocking down seven 3-pointers.
Tre Fletcher and Andrew Roberts each added eight points for Cheverus, which used a 20-7 run in the third quarter to pull ahead for good.
THORNTON ACADEMY 58, BANGOR 46: The Trojans (9-0) opened the game with a 20-2 run and held off the Rams (2-8) in Bangor.
Ben Lambert paced Thornton with 20 points and Jack Tilley scored 14.
Justin Smith had 19 points for Bangor.
WINDHAM 69, NOBLE 43: Nicholas Curtis scored 17 points, distributed eight assists and grabbed seven rebounds to lead the Eagles (5-5) against the Knights (0-10) at Windham.
Windham led 32-21 at halftime, then stretched its lead to 21 points by the end of the third quarter. The Eagles outrebounded Noble 44-15. Mike Gilman was Windham’s high scorer with 19 points.
Britton Study scored 18 points and Brandon Davis added 11 for Noble.
FALMOUTH 43, MARSHWOOD 32: Colin Coyne scored 11 of his 19 points in the first quarter to start the Yachtsmen (7-2) on their way to a win over the Hawks (3-6) in South Berwick.
Samuel Skop added 10 points for Falmouth, which led 17-7 after one quarter but had to turn back a comeback bid by the Hawks.
Dawson Casey scored 10 points for Marsh-wood.
BRUNSWICK 52, OCEANSIDE 46: Caleb Cost scored 11 points, and Owen Rudalevige and Thomas Hanson each had 10 points for the Dragons (7-3) in a win over the Mariners (7-2) at Rockland.
Rudalevige also pulled down 13 rebounds for the Dragons, who trailed by five going into the fourth quarter.
Oceanside got 17 points from Sam Atwood and 11 from Keenan Hendricks.
MEDOMAK VALLEY 57, GARDINER 41: Nicholas DePatsy scored 28 points, including four 3-pointers, as the Panthers (7-3) downed the Tigers (5-4) in Gardiner.
Jordan Lamb scored 17 points for Gardiner.
SCARBOROUGH 62, LEWISTON 29: Nick Fiorillo scored 21 points and Emmett Peoples added 17 as the Red Storm (3-7) rolled past the Blue Devils (2-8) in Lewiston.
Scarborough outscored Lewiston 35-9 in the second half.
DIRIGO 84, BOOTHBAY 58: Riley Robinson scored 17 of his 27 points in the first half as the Cougars (11-0) built a 47-29 halftime lead in a win over the Seahawks (8-3) at Boothbay Harbor.
Boothbay was led by Abel Bryer with 16 points and Kyle Ames with 13.
