BIDDEFORD — Robert A. Guay, 83, of Biddeford, died Wednesday evening, Dec. 16, 2015, at Gosnell Memorial Hospice House in Scarborough with his wife and family at his side .

He was born April 1, 1932, in Biddeford, a son of Pierre and Alice (Lachance) Guay and was educated in Biddeford.

On June 20, 1953, he married Cecile Desloges in St. Joseph’s church in Biddeford.

Robert worked at Pepperell Manufacturing in Biddeford for 32 years and at Pratt Whitney in North Berwick for 12 years, retiring in 1992.

He and Cecile were members of the Fremont Club in Biddeford. He enjoyed following sports, especially Biddeford Tiger Football and was also an avid Red Sox fan.

Bob was preceded by a brother, Paul Guay in 1995 .

He is survived by: Cecile, his wife of 62 years, daughter, Priscille Paul and her husband Andrew of Biddeford; son, Roland Guay of Eliot; four brothers, Raymond Guay and his wife Claudette of Dayton, Richard Guay and his wife Muriel, Maurice Guay and his wife Rachel, and Conrad Guay and his wife Claudette, all of Biddeford; one sister, Doris Cook and her husband Richard of Biddeford; two grandchildren, Alicia Paul of Brighton, Massachusetts, and Alex Paul of Biddeford; and many nieces and nephews.

There will be no visiting hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 21 at St. Joseph Church in Biddeford. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery in Biddeford.
