Westbrook police are advising motorists to avoid Bridge Street in downtown Westbrook Tuesday due to the ongoing construction of the Bridge Street bridge.

According to Westbrook police Capt. Sean Lally, delays will run from 3 p.m. through 12 a.m.

“Bridge Street in Westbrook from Main Street to Brown Street will experience significant traffic delays due to construction of the new Bridge Street bridge. Traffic will be stopped intermittently between those hours,” he said.
