Wayne Pike, 38, of Harrison, was sentenced Friday in U.S. District Court by Judge George Z. Singal to three years in prison and 10 years of supervised release for possession of child pornography. He also was ordered to pay $10,320 in restitution to victims of the offense. He pleaded guilty to the charges on May 28, 2015.

According to U.S. Attorney Thomas E. Delahanty II, in July 2014, investigators with the Maine State Police Computer Crimes Unit downloaded via a peer-to-peer file sharing program hundreds of images that depicted minors engaged in sexually explicit activity. Investigators determined that the files were being made available by a computer at a home in Harrison where Pike was living. On Oct. 10, 2014, investigators conducted a search warrant at the home, and found multiple electronic devices that contained child pornographic images. Pike claimed ownership of the devices and admitted that he was responsible for possessing the images the investigators found, Delahanty said.

This case was also investigated by the U.S. Secret Service.
