Casey Warren, 29, of Windham operates Bark Bus with fellow dog lover Dylan Harris – they call themselves pack leaders. The Portland-based service picks up dogs from their homes – the bus has special safety harnesses – and takes them to a privately owned tract of land in Windham. The dogs run, play and explore off leash for an hour and a half, then get dropped off at home all tired out. “I love giving city dogs a taste of the country and giving owners the peace of mind that their dogs had a great day,” Warren said. The company’s biggest problem is a good one to have: not being able to accommodate everyone. “It’s a running joke that we need a bigger bus,” Warren said.
