BRUNSWICK — At the upcoming Nov. 3 election, the Brunswick Sewer District will have a referendum question for the voters of the district to approve an increase in the sewer district’s debt limit from $20 million to $25 million.

The purpose for the increase is to fully fund the estimated $22 million upgrade to the wastewater treatment facility. The new debt limit does not become effective until the registered voters within the district approve the new debt limit in a referendum.

All registered voters of the town of Brunswick who reside within the District are voters of the district are eligible to vote. You do not have to be a customer of the district in order to vote. Even if your property is not connected to the public sewer system, if you reside within the District, you can vote on the referendum question. The clerk’s office has developed the voter list. If you are on the list you will be provided a ballot when you go to the polls.
