LISBON
The Lisbon Town Council will hold a public hearing tonight on the third 2015-16 school budget proposed by the Lisbon School Committee after the previous two were rejected by voters.
The school committee approved a $15.44 million spending plan, including adult education costs, to send to the town council for consideration. The hearing will take place during the town council’s 7 p.m. meeting at the town office. A third budget referendum is scheduled for Sept. 22. The budget validation referendums will continue, officials have said, until a budget is legally adopted.
The council will also consider a school capital reserve request, a Seniors Plus agreement and awarding a public works addition bid for insulation and electrical work.
An executive session is scheduled for the council to discuss acquisition or disposal of real property or economic development, and to consult with legal counsel.
