Lisbon — Lisbon’s Moxie Festival Committee is calling for entries for the 2016 Moxie Festival theme. All themes must contain the word “Moxie.” This year’s theme, for example, was “ Celebrate Moxie the Maine Way.”
Entries will be judged by the degree to which the judges believe the entry will inspire creative parade floats, t-shirts, and gear, as well as the spirit of Moxie, the iconic New England soft drink dating back to 1884.
There is a limit of one entry per person. Entries are due Oct. 15.
Mail submissions should be sent to the Lisbon Town Office, Attn: Moxie Festival Theme Contest, 300 Lisbon St., Lisbon, ME 04250.
They should be postmarked no later than midnight on Oct. 14.
Entrants may also send them via email to coordinator@moxiefestival.com with “Moxie Theme Contest” in the subject line. Facebook users may submit via the Moxie Festival’s Facebook page by sending a private message following the same protocol as email and the postal service.
The winner will be announced on Halloween, Oct. 31 and will receive a prize basket of Moxie goodies and gear. Complete contest rules can be found at the Moxie Festival website at www.moxifestival.com.
