I read a recent letter to the editor, “Iranians eager to exploit Obama’s nuclear deal” (Sept. 3), in which the author said that Iran “killed and wounded thousands of our soldiers … kills Christians, brutalizes women and sells girls into sex slavery.”
As far as I can tell, absolutely none of this is true. I would like to suggest that the Portland Press Herald should not publish letters of this sort, which might mislead readers who are not familiar with Iran.
