PRIOR TO THE REACTIVATION of the Brunswick Naval Air Station in 1952, a vibrant community of homes, schools and businesses existed south and southeast of the base’s runways. On Sunday, join historian, archeologist and longtime Brunswick history teacher Fred Koerber to revisit some of these sites and hear stories of their past. This auto and walking tour meets at 1 p.m. at the Chamberlain Museum at 226 Maine Street in Brunswick where admission will be collected. Participants will drive from there to the site and carpool for the remainder of the tour. The tour is limited to 20 people.
