LISBON

The Lisbon Town Council will meet tonight at 7 p.m. at the town office.

The council is scheduled to set the date for a school budget validation referendum election and a public hearing for the referendum, as well as to appoint wardens for the Sept. 22 election and set registrar hours and times to cast absentee ballots.

A library brick work schedule and performance contract update are on the docket for councilors to discuss.

The council will also consider homeland security grant applications for public works, police and fire departments; approving a thermal imaging bid award, and an interlocal agreement for code enforcement with the town of Sabattus.

The council will also consider setting public hearing dates for charter amendments to go to voters in a Nov. 3 referendum. The council would hold a public hearing Sept. 17.

A financial report on the Moxie Festival is scheduled for tonight as well.

The council will also meet Thursday at 7 p.m. for a workshop on charter amendments, as well as draining issues, the Davis Street sidewalk and the Androscoggin River Trail washout.
