COMEDIAN JOHN ATER performs stand-up.

PHIPPSBURG

Beginning at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 1, John and Max Ater will be performing “An Evening with the Aters” at the Drummore Bay Concert Hall in Phippsburg.

A 22-year-old singer and songwriter from Bath, Max Ater is the Winner of Maine’s Got Talent 2012 and an Independent Music Award’s Nominee.

Discovering a passion for music in his late teens, Max shared his original songs at open mics throughout Southern Maine and in 2011, upon graduating from Morse High School, set his eyes on a career in music.

Quickly gaining steam, Max made a splash in Maine’s local music scene by winning “Maine’s Got Talent 2012,” giving a boost to his name and career. Soon after, the Max Ater Band was formed, followed by appearances on multiple television programs and radio stations. Max has released multiple CDs of original music, including his most recent release “Up ‘Till Now.”

Johnny Ater is a husband and a father of two. A headliner at the Maine Comedy festival, by day he is a painting contractor and by night he’s one of Maine’s favorite standup comics.

Tickets for “An Evening with the Aters” are $15. For tickets and more information on this event, visit drummorebayconcerthall.com or call (207) 446-7199.
