She was born in Saco on Nov. 9, 1927, a daughter of Alec and Luella (Morse) Garon.
She graduated from Thornton Academy, Class of 1946.
Earlier, Susanne was employed by Saco City Hall and WIDE Radio in Biddeford. Later, she worked for Prudential Life Insurance Company for 32 years in Biddeford.
Susan’s hobbies included playing cards and word search puzzles. She enjoyed walking the grounds of the Woods at Canco. Most of all, she loved to spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by: her husband, Roland, on April 4, 2006; and by several brothers and sisters.
She is survived by: one son, David Wentworth; one daughter, Kellie Gilbert and her husband Gary; three grandchildren, Tyler, Justin and Mikayla Gilbert; and several nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours will be 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday, Aug. 24, at Cote Funeral Home, 87 James St., Saco. A graveside service will follow at 1:30 p.m. at Laurel Hill Cemetery, Saco.
