OLD ORCHARD BEACH — Gloria D. Meserve, 68, of Old Orchard Beach, passed away on Wednesday, Aug. 19, 2015, at Maine Medical Center in Portland.

She was born in Bridgewater on Aug. 16, 1947, a daughter of Roy and Bertha (Todd) Lenentine. She graduated from Hodgdon High School and received an associate’s degree from Southern Maine Community College in 1997.

Gloria was employed by the Comfort Inn in South Portland for many years.

She enjoyed coaching for the Special Olympics for 15 years. She dedicated herself to the Special Olympics, Cub Scouts Pack 308 and Boy Scouts Troop 308.

Her hobbies included bowling, reading, computer games and following her grandsons’ sporting events. She loved to spend time with her family.

She is preceded in death by: six siblings, Patrick Lenentine, Charlotte Melvin, Dorothy Sparks, Erma Brewer, Wilda Lenentine, and Cleola Russell.

She is survived by: two sons, David Meserve and Travis Meserve; grandsons, Bailey and Dakota Senecal; siblings, Gene Lenentine, Ruth Mitchell, Pearl Grant, Donald Lenentine, and Winona Potvin; adopted daughter, Sandy Richardson and her son Kegan; and several nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be from 2-5 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 22, at Cote Funeral Home, 87 James St., Saco.
