BRUNSWICK — The Midcoast Regional Redevelopment Authority announced recently that a 4,000-foot stretch of the old perimeter road has been opened to bicycle and pedestrian traffic. The Seabee gate at the end of Allagsh Drive has been opened, allowing access between Pine Street in town to Brunswick Landing. MRRA says work will continue on the 14-foot-wide path to improve access from Pine Street as currently concrete Jersey barriers are being used to prevent vehicular traffic from reaching the pathway. These barriers will eventually be replaced with removable bollards.
