GEORGETOWN
Catie Curtis, Jenna Lindbo, and the talented musicians of the Georgetown “Catie-on-the- Cove” singer-songwriter retreat are back. For three years they have wrapped up their week with a benefit concert at the Georgetown Historical Society. This year’s concert will take place at 7 p.m. Friday, Aug. 7.
Curtis has been a singer/songwriter in the folk scene for more than 20 years. She is nationallyknown and has performed for the White House several times. Her extraordinary talent won her the grand prize in the 2006 International Songwriting Competition. Among her credits is a duet with Kris Kristofferson.
Tickets are $20 each and can be purchased by stopping in at GHS during when open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Wednesdays and 10 a.m. to noon on Saturdays, or send a check to GHS, P.O. Box 441, Georgetown, ME 04548. Proceeds from the ticket sales help fund GHS activities.
