TOPSHAM — Curtis Simard, president and CEO of Bar Harbor Bank & Trust, recently announced the hiring of Larissa Darcy as vice president/regional relationship manager.

Darcy’s office is located in the Topsham branch at 2 Main St.

With more than 20 years of experience in the financial services industry, Darcy will work with business owners in the greater Brunswick/Topsham and Portland areas, helping them make the most of the opportunities and challenges they face as they strive to grow their businesses.

Darcy started her banking career at Citibank in Sunnyvale, California, as a customer service representative and was promoted to loan executive, then CitiGold executive. She returned to Portland, Maine, as assistant vice president/ branch manager with Citibank. She then moved to Orlando, Florida, where she worked as vice president/senior branch manager for Suntrust Bank.

In 2003, Darcy joined Wachovia Bank in Atlanta, Georgia, as vice president, holding several positions over her five years there including retail credit sales consultant, financial specialist, and business banker. She returned to Maine in 2008, working for the Bank of Maine in Portland as regional vice president/community banking, prior to joining Bar Harbor Bank & Trust.

Having grown up in Brunswick, Darcy earned her bachelor’s degree from Regis College in Weston, Massachusetts.

Darcy lives in Brunswick with her husband, John Fortin, and their three sons.
