Fuego Diablo will be hosting its second outdoor Open Mic Music Night Saturday, July 11, at 52 Loring Lane in Pownal. In a change of format, local rhythm and groove band Slygo Road will perform from 6 p.m.-7:30 p.m.
The open mic portion of the evening will begin at 7:30 p.m. and run as a folk circle with each performer doing one tune per revolution of the circle to ensure that all participants have multiple chances to perform. Spontaneous collaborations arewelcomed and encouraged.
Creative world cuisine, including glutenfree and vegetarian friendly, will be served from 5-6 p.m. Music begins promptly at 6 p.m. The event is free and open to the public. Attendees should bring their own seating. In the event of inclement weather, the event will be held inside where seating is limited. Technical support for these events is basic. Performers requiring gear should bring their own.
Musicians, singers, storytellers, poets and entertainers of all ages and abilities are invited to take the stage at this acoustic venue that has become a crowd favorite. From Delta blues to techno dance tunes, Irish fiddle to Indie pop, music nights at Fuego Diablo are always packed with unexpected brilliance.
