SACO — Lottie A. Harris, 99, of Saco, and formerly of Port Charlotte, Florida and Hutchinson Island, Jensen Beach, Florida, passed away on Saturday, July 4, 2015 at the Barron Center in Portland.
She was born in Boston, Massachu-setts on Dec. 9, 1915, a daughter of Albert and Mary (McCarthy) Hough.
She graduated from Jamaica Plain High School, Class of 1934. After graduation, she participated in the training of the students in the agriculture department of Jamaica High School until her retirement.
She owned and operated High Rock Turkey in Westwood and Southboro, Massachusetts. In 1979, she moved to Saco and worked for Maxies and Chars in Camp Ellis.
She was a member of the Southboro Garden Club and Southboro Women’s Club. She was also a parishioner of St. Matthews and St. Anne’s Catholic Church and a member of their Women’s Club.
She is preceded in death by: her husband, Frederick J. Harris III in May of 1991; and by her son, Frederick J. Harris IV in November of 2012.
She is survived by: one daughter, Carol Ann Radin and her husband Skip of Saco; one grandson, Frederick J. Harris V and his wife Kari; and two great-grandsons, Frederick J. Harris VI, and Joshua David Harris.
A visiting hour will be from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 8 at Cote Funeral Home, 87 James Street, Saco. A graveside service will follow at 1 p.m. Wednesday, July 8 at Laurel Hill Cemetery in Saco.
