U.S. Coast Guard crews in Maine were searching Saturday night for a disabled boat near Caldwell Island in Muscongus Bay.

A Coast Guard rescue vessel out of Rockland began the search after receiving reports of a flare in the area.

The island is situated a mile and a half from Port Clyde.
