Thank you
I would like to take this time to thank all of the generous, wonderful passerbys who saw me, an old man, sitting on my stool, doing my job as a crossing guard, and who stopped their cars to hand me a cup of coffee.
One morning, this winter, it was 11 degrees and an unknown, beautiful black man stopped his nice car nearby and walked over to me with a cup of hot coffee.
Another cold morning, I was dreaming that maybe a woman this time would offer me a cup. Within 10 minutes, one did.
The car was driven by her man and she rolled down the window and handed it to me.
